Protection of National Symbols Department
The Director of National Emblems and Somali Language must comply with the Government of Somaliland Administrative policy framework and procedural requirements. The Director has authority to manage the Ministry National Emblems and Somali Language strategy and function, and to develop and implement relevant policy and procedures consistent with Civil Service requirements. In performing this role, the incumbent provides leadership and vision in the Ministry and is accountable for leading development and monitoring of the Ministry strategic plan, and achieving the goals of the Department. Under this authority, the Director is expected to deliver quality service improvements, appropriate professional advice, efficient and effective operational management, and effective Department staff performance and attendance. The Director is held accountable for transparency, evidence- based decision-making, respect for diversity and equity, and operating with integrity. As a member of the senior management team, the Director provides technical and professional support to the Director General.
